Black History Month Celebration
Columbia College Professor Vaun Monroe returns to expand on last year’s program on Film and Race Relations, sponsored by the Northbrook Community Relations Commission. Whether you’re a film buff or just want to learn something new, come join us for a lively, interactive session. Professor Monroe will show selected film clips and lead the discussion on how films have impacted race relations in America. The program will be held on Saturday, February 18, 1pm, at the Northbrook Public Library.
Snow, Snow, Snow!
You can help Public Works crews clear our roadways as quickly as possible by not parking on the street during snow removal operations. When 2 or more inches of snow fall, it is illegal to park on Northbrook streets. If your vehicle has become disabled, please call the Police Department at 847/564-2060 so you don't get ticketed or towed. Also, please clear snow from around fire hydrants on or near your property. Click on title above for more info on Snow Removal.
Electrical Aggregation: What Does This Mean?
In December 2011, the Northbrook Village Board of Trustees approved Resolution 11-103 authorizing that a question regarding electrical aggregation be placed on the March 20, 2012 election ballot. As a homeowner or small business owner, you may be wondering what this question means, and how it may or may not impact you. Click the title above for more information.
