Less than one month since the March 20 referendum, today the North Shore Electricity Aggregation Consortium announced a new rate for electricity that will yield up to 41% savings off the current Commonwealth Edison residential electricity rate, and save residential customers hundreds of dollars annually. This is one of the largest aggregation groups under a single form agreement in Illinois.

The Community Relations Commission will host a combined “Welcome to Northbrook” and “Flamingo Friday” event on Friday, May 18th from 5:30 to 7:00pm at the Village Hall. The NATO Summit officially begins on Sunday, May 20, at noon and ends on Monday, May 21, at 2 p.m. However, pre- and post-summit events may lead to traffic delays, METRA changes and increased activity in Chicago from Friday, May 18, through Tuesday, May 22. The Shermer Road Bridge over the Middle Fork North Branch of the Chicago River is still on schedule to be closed from May 1st thru August 1st of this year.
