Other Events With Special Event Permits
In addition to Village-sponsored events, a number of other events occur within the community which receive special event permits. The following upcoming events have received permits. This list, which is updated monthly, is simply provided as a reference for users and those with questions are encouraged to contact the sponsoring organization for more details. As a friendly reminder to vendors, only permitted and invited vendors are allowed to sell at events, including Park District events.
- Glenbrook North's Homecoming Parade (sponsored by District 225): The annual parade will be held on Friday, October 6 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. and will travel along Cherry from Keystone to Meadow. Cherry will be closed during this time and be reopened immediately afterward.
- Plein Air Painting Festival (sponsored by the Northbrook Arts Commission and Northbrook Parks District): The Northbrook Arts Commission and Northbrook Park District will hold the inaugural Plein Air Painting Festival on Friday, October 6 through Sunday, October 8. Painters will be throughout the community painting landscapes and will hold an event at Village Green on Sunday.
