Current Project Update
April 20, 2018This week, utility crews began relocating infrastructure located near the project site. The relocations must be completed prior to the start of the Illinois Department of Transportation’s (IDOT) project, and are expected to continue through mid-summer. Motorists should expect periodic lane closures as this work continues. Once this work is completed, IDOT will re-evaluate the timing of the full road closure.
Previous Project Update
April 13, 2018On Wednesday, April 11, staff met with Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) representatives regarding the Dundee Road Culvert Replacement project. Earlier this year, the IDOT indicated Dundee Road would be closed for six months beginning this spring. Utility relocations have started and are anticipated to be completed between August and September. IDOT will re-evaluate the timing of the road closure mid-summer.
On Tuesday, March 20, staff met with Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) representatives regarding the Dundee Road Culvert Replacement project. IDOT provided information concerning utility conflicts and relocation timelines for multiple utilities with infrastructure in the work area. Due to these utility conflicts, IDOT has not determined a start date for construction. Once their combined utility relocation schedule is finalized, IDOT will provide a start date to all impacted agencies, including the Village.
