Engineering Division
The Engineering Division assures that the design, construction, and maintenance of the public and private major development improvements are in conformance with the Village’s Standards and Specifications for Public and Private Improvements and Floodplain Development Ordinance so that safety and serviceability are maximized and long term maintenance expense is minimized.
Engineering staff also provides timely, cost effective in-house design/inspection services for Village public improvement & maintenance projects; responds to public inquires regarding floodplain and drainage issues and location of utilities and technical representation on intergovernmental projects such as transportation and stormwater management: Staff supports and provides traffic related data/studies to the Village’s Safety Commission and Stormwater Management Commission and provides information for the Capital Improvement Plan in areas of water systems, sanitary sewer system, infrastructure management information systems, sidewalk system, central business district improvements, stormwater/floodplain/drainage systems and street improvements.
