Public Works Department

The Village of Northbrook's Public Works Department is the local municipal department responsible for essential and desirable public services including: operation and maintenance of the water utility including Northbrook's Lake Michigan intake and inland filtration facilities; sanitary sewer and storm water collection/conveyance systems; public streets, sidewalks, street lighting, signs and traffic controls; parkways including trimming and planting of trees and weed mowing; municipal buildings, grounds and commuter parking lots; snow and ice control; management of the municipal fleet; and emergency response services.
