The Village of Northbrook and the Northbrook Park District invite you to celebrate Earth and Arbor Day. This year’s theme is “Less Energy, More Power!”
If you are looking for fresh ideas and cost effective, earth friendly ways to conserve energy, save money and help the environment, come to Earth and Arbor Day! At this year’s event, you’ll meet over 50 vendors promoting and educating attendees on ideas and concepts to implement in your homes and businesses! This will include, but not be limited to: home weatherization measures; renewable energy ideas; support of regional organic farmers, local utilities and environmentally friendly home suppliers and products.
The activities begin at 8:30am at the Village Green, on the corner of Shermer and Meadow. Cleanup teams will be assigned specific areas to collect debris and windblown trash. Between 10am and 2pm, after the clean-up, the Northbrook Village Green will be bustling with excitement as everyone enjoys the exhibits, food and entertainment.
