The Village of Northbrook proactively reviews the condition of its streets on a regular basis to identify problems and appropriate measures to correct them. This project involves panel replacement in the Sutton Point subdivision.
Enabling ResolutionOn Tuesday, May 12, the Village Board approved Resolution 2021-67, which awarded this contract to Schroeder & Schroeder, Inc..
Project NoticesOn Tuesday, May 18, the Village mailed an initial notice to all potentially impacted residents regarding this project. A copy of this notice can be found at this link.
This project will focus panel replacement on Sutton Drive, Suffield Terrace, Rutgers Lane, Medford Circle, Dorset Drive, Yorkshire Lane and Sunset Lane. A map of these locations can be found at this link.
Current Project Update
Thursday, October 21
The project is substantially complete, and both roads are open.
This week, the Contractor completed the remaining concrete pours on the northern side of Moon Hill. Next week, crews will saw cut and seal the concrete joints on both Moon Hill and Crabtree.

This week, the Contractor completed work on Crabtree and the south side of Moon Hill Drive. Next week, the Contractor will remove the deteriorated panels left on the north side of Moon Hill and pour new concrete panels, weather permitting. Joint sealing will be done once the concrete is cured.
Thursday, September 30This week, the Village's contractor removed deteriorated panels on both Moon Hill and Crabtree. On Friday, October 1, the contractor will pour new panels on both streets to cure over the weekend and resume panel replacement work on the opposite side of Moon Hill early next week. Joint sealing operations will follow after that work is completed.
Due to the condition of the roadway on Moon Hill Drive and Crabtree Lane, the Village's contractor will be remobilizing to complete additional work at those locations.
Friday, September 24
Beginning Wednesday, September 29, the Village will be completing concrete street patching on Moon Hill Drive between Landwehr Road and Cayuga Lane and Crabtree Lane between Adelaide Drive and Woodbine Lane over a two-week period. During this time, Moon Hill will be fully closed at Landwehr. Local residents will have continuous access to their homes from Cayuga. However, all school traffic for Shabonee School utilizing Moon Hill will be detoured around this closure to Shabonee Trail via Cherry Lane and White Mountain Drive.
On Crabtree, two-way traffic will be maintained throughout the duration of this work.
Thursday, September 9At this time, the Village’s contractor has completed all substantial work for this project. The Village thanks residents for their patience and cooperation during this work.
This week, the contractor began final restoration work in the subdivision. Next week, they will continue restoration work.

The contractor will perform final restoration work throughout the subdivision and striping and signing operations on Sutton Drive and Rutgers Lane during the week of Monday, August 30.
