The Village recognizes that this project will impact a large number of residents living in the immediate area. If you are interested, please subscribe at this link. Updates will begin when the project commences in spring 2022.
The planned improvements include adding a bike and pedestrian path on the west side of the road, reconfiguring the on-street parking and drive lanes, improvements to the fire lane access to the Library for their deliveries, as well as landscaping improvements in the corridor to create more of a campus feel to the area around the Village Hall and Library.
Enabling ResolutionOnce the contract for construction is awarded (likely in early 2022), it will be posted here.

This project includes work on Cedar Lane from Cherry Lane to Walters Avenue.
Current Project Update
Friday, August 13On Tuesday, August 10, the Village Board held a Committee of the Whole meeting to discuss this project. At this time, staff will be considering alternatives for the design of this project.
Friday, June 11
A Public Information Meeting was held on Thursday, June 10, 2021 to discuss the proposed improvements of Cedar Lane. Northbrook staff met with residents between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to discuss the scope and purpose of the project. The project advertisement and boards presented at the meeting can be viewed at this link.
