In early 2022, the Village approved a contract agreement with local Northbrook business The Organic Gardener to construct and maintain a demonstration vegetable garden between Village Hall and the Library. This “Grow Northbrook” project is one of the Board’s selected top priorities from the Climate Action Plan, to foster community while growing healthy and sustainable food. The Organic Gardener hosts workshops every other Tuesday from 2-3pm, free to residents to educate on best practices for eco-friendly gardening.  Leftover harvest will be sent to the Food Pantry.
