The Village of Northbrook proactively works to reduce the impact of flooding and stormwater in the community through a combination of maintaining and expanding infrastructure, getting residents involved in stormwater management and educating the public about what we can collectively do to lessen the impact of flooding. Storm Sewer Maintenance
In order to extend the useful life of stormwater systems and help safely convey stormwater into local detention and retention areas, the Public Works Department manages an active on-going maintenance program. Long-Term Stormwater Plans
In addition to smaller programs, the Village actively plans for larger stormwater mitigation projects throughout the Village through the Master Stormwater Management Plan and the Capital Improvement Plan.
