The Village's Five-Year Capital Improvement Plan (often abbreviated as "CIP" in other documents) is a long-range planning document designed to review and outline the Village's anticipated capital needs. Items such as street reconstruction, water main replacement and stormwater projects are all planned for under this document often using input from other crucial planning documents such as the Master Stormwater Management Plan. Updates are made each November with final changes being incorporated into the VIllage's annual budget for the coming fiscal year. Copies of the current CIP can be found below.
How to Use the CIP
The CIP has two major sections:
The Executive Summary: This area summarizes the core assumptions made in creating the document (such as interest rates) and overviews the projects that were completed in the prior fiscal year as well as summarizes the anticipated upcoming projects.
The Individual Fiscal Year Overviews: These sections go into much more significant detail and overview each project planned for a given fiscal year.
