The Village proactively engages and works with our agencies to connect with you in the community. This page discusses some of the ways that youth can get involved in the community as well as ways in which the Village reaches out.
The Youth Commission is advisory Commission concerned with the initiation, review, coordination and evaluation of youth related services and programs in the Village; the improvement of communication between the governing body and the various groups and persons involved in the development of young citizens; focusing greater attention on the accomplishments of youth; and the promotion of increased participation by youth in all aspects of community life. The Community Relations Commission, as part of its mission, oversees the Northbrook Cares project. Through a centralized website, the project helps connect teens, young adults and parents with mental health and well-being resources available in around and the community.
