Water & Sewer Services
The Village's water and sanitary sewer systems can be thought of as two parts of the same whole. The water system brings fresh, potable water to your tap and the sewer system carries used water away for treatment. This involves a number of separate operations that have to run smoothly together in order to keep the system safe and reliable. Use the pages below to learn about the various aspects of our water and sewer services.

Northbrook Sewer Systems
The Village of Northbrook owns and maintains two separate sewer systems; one for sanitary sewage and one for stormwater runoff. Sanitary sewage is made up of the waste water from inside homes and businesses from various plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, dishwashers, and washing machines.
