Water Main Repair on Walters Scheduled for Tuesday

On Tuesday, December 4, from  8:30 a.m. to approximately 5:30 p.m., Public Works will begin repairing a broken 8" 1930 water main located at the North edge of Walters Avenue between High Point Lane and Christina Lane. Typically, any repairs made on this stretch of water main required the removal/replacement of an entire 10ft section of pipe.

Walters Ave Westbound Traffic: Re-routed at High Point Lane over to White Mountain Drive.
Walters Ave Eastbound Traffic: Will not be affected.

Homeowners within the work zone will have access to their driveways during the repair. If needed, emergency vehicles will have the ability to travel Westbound on Walters Ave.

In the event of severe weather, the water main repair work will be rescheduled for the following day December 5, 2018 with the same hours. If you have any questions, please call John Schwarz , Water Distribution Supervisor, at 847-272-4711, extension 4116.
