Precautionary Boil Order Lifted

Precautionary Boil Order

April 1, 7:30 pm Update: The precautionary boil order has been lifted. The 27 affected homes can resume normal water usage and will be contacted directly by Public Works.

This morning, three water main breaks occurred on a portion of the Village’s water distribution system. These breaks caused system pressure to drop in areas of the Village, which was quickly addressed by Public Works crews.

An additional water main break in the Cherry Lane area, west of Pfingsten Road and east of Landwehr Road, is still being repaired. Due to the multiple breaks in this neighborhood, the Village will be issuing a precautionary boil order for the 27 properties directly impacted by this recent break (see map below). The residences impacted by this precautionary boil order will be directly contacted by the Public Works Department. Get additional information on what to do during a precautionary boil order with the Village’s Precautionary Boil Order FAQs

Northbrook residents not identified on the map who have not been contacted by Public Works do not need to take any boil order precautions. We thank you for your patience during these repairs.
