The Cook County Department of Transportation is performing work on Lake Cook Road over the Middle Fork North Branch of the Chicago River. 

Travel has been reduced to two lanes in each direction. To improve rideability and bridge preservation, work includes removal of existing bridge joints, replacement with new expansion joints, and repairs to the concrete, deck, and approach slab. Get more information on the project.
