October 28, 2025, 7:30 p.m. Meeting
Highlights of action taken include:
- Presented a Proclamation recognizing October 31 as UNICEF Collection Day.
- Approved purchase of organic material used by Public Works to pre-treat streets before a snowfall or freezing rain.
- Approved a special permit for a child day care facility located at 755 Huehl for Einstein's Academy & Daycare Inc.
- Approved a special permit for Huntington National Bank for a drive-through ATM at 40 Skokie Boulevard.
- Approved updated building and electrical codes as developed by the 2024 International Code Council and 2023 National Electric Code following several public meetings and a public open house.
- Approved support for a 6B tax incentive at 3100-3150 Commercial Avenue, pending consideration by Cook County.
- Held a Preliminary Review of a request by S2 Partners LLC for a special permit for a child daycare facility at 2750 Dundee Road Unit #9. The Preliminary Review by the Village Board is a conceptual review for the Village Board to provide non-binding comments on a proposal prior to the applicant submitting to the Village a detailed application.
