To sign up for the premise alert program, please complete the Village of Northbrook Police and Fire Departments Premise Alert Program Enrollment Form. Once complete, you may return the form to either the Fire or Police Department in person, via fax at 847-564-8390, or via mail to:Senior Services

People meeting the eligibility requirements can either register in person in the Northbrook Village Hall at the cashier’s desk or call 847-664-4038 and request an application by mail. Proof of residency is required and can be in the form of a current water bill, or other utility bill. No matter the form provided, it must have both the name and address of the applicant.
Applicants must also provide a photocopy of one of the following proof of age documents including, Driver’s License, State of Illinois Identification Card, U.S. Immigration Alien Registration Card, or Passport photocopy of page(s) with photo and date of birth).

Yes, the Village does provide several locations for free blood-pressure testing. Anyone who wants or needs to have frequent testing of their blood pressure can obtain it at no charge during the following times. Every Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to noon.Senior Services
The testing occurs at all Northbrook Fire Stations including:
- 740 Dundee Road
- 650 Huehl Road
- 1840 Shermer Road -
This program will be available to all Village of Northbrook residents 55 years or older and disabled residents regardless of age. The program is exclusively for Northbrook residents (unincorporated Northbrook residents are not eligible) regardless of individual income.Senior Services

The Village of Northbrook Subsidized Taxicab Program has been created to address the increasing need for affordable transportation options for seniors and persons with disabilities. The Northbrook Taxicab Program will utilize trip tickets which can be used to offset the cost of the metered fare. These tickets will only be accepted by taxi companies within the program (American and 303 Taxi). Each of these trip tickets will have a value of $5 dollars and each participant will be allowed to use up to 15 tickets per month. Trip tickets will be made available to registered users at the Village Hall or, if requested, mailed to participants.Senior Services
Once the application for participation in the program has been approved, the resident will receive an I.D. card which will include their name, address, account number, and their signature. This I.D. card and ride ticket must be presented together at the time of the ride to receive the $5 subsidy.

Crestwood Place at 1000 Waukegan Road, is owned by the Village of Northbrook. It is a classic example of independent living for seniors. The apartments are quite nice and rental rates are very reasonable.Senior Services
Crestwood Place offers a variety of social activities for those wishing to participate and common areas for around the clock socializing. The apartments, which are approximately 630 square feet, have full kitchens. Residents handle their own personal affairs.
Priority in rental is given to current residents of incorporated Northbrook, retired Village of Northbrook employees and parents of residents of incorporated Northbrook, in that order.
