Zoning & Subdivision Relief Application Process

Plan Commission Application Process

The Plan Commission application process consists of three general steps:

  1. Pre-application meeting
  2. Preliminary review by the Village Board of Trustees
  3. Submission of a formal application

These steps are detailed in the Plan Commission Application Flow-Chart (PDF).

1. Pre-Application Meeting

It is recommended that anyone interested in submitting a zoning or subdivision relief application contact the Department of Development and Planning Services before submitting a preliminary application.

2. Preliminary Application

Prior to submitting a formal application, the request must first be reviewed a preliminary application by the Village Board of Trustees. If the Board has not yet reviewed your preliminary application, please contact the Department of Development and Planning Services to learn what is required.
