August 12, 2025 7:30 p.m. Meeting
Highlights of action taken include:
- Approved a contract for services for the 2025 sidewalk replacement services for deteriorated sections of neighborhood sidewalks in the Northbrook Manor subdivision and arterial sidewalks along portions of Lake Cook Road and Skokie Boulevard.
- Approved zoning variations at 1307 Shermer Road to allow a detached garage to be built in the C-1 Specialty Commercial District.
- Approved the development of a staffing and organizational plan for the Police Department and the use of an experienced consultant to review current service delivery levels and recommend future programming, staffing, and services.
- Preliminary Review was presented for a child daycare facility at 755 Huehl Road by Little Einstein’s Academy and Daycare. The Preliminary Review by the Village Board is a conceptual review for the Village Board to provide non-binding comments on a proposal prior to the applicant submitting to the Village a detailed application.
- Preliminary Review was presented for an accessory drive-through facility at 40 Skokie Boulevard for Huntington National Bank. The Preliminary Review by the Village Board is a conceptual review for the Village Board to provide non-binding comments on a proposal prior to the applicant submitting to the Village a detailed application.
- Preliminary Review was presented for a personal wireless services antenna by Crown Castle GT Company at 180 Anets Drive. The Preliminary Review by the Village Board is a conceptual review for the Village Board to provide non-binding comments on a proposal prior to the applicant submitting to the Village a detailed application.
