September 9, 2025, 7:30 p.m. meeting
Highlights of action taken include:
- Presented the following Proclamations recognizing:
- September 17 – 23 as Constitution Week
- October 5 – 11 as Fire Prevention Week
- October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month
- October as Substance Abuse Prevention Month
- October as Learning Disabilities Awareness Month
- October as Down Syndrome Awareness Month
- October as Cybersecurity Awareness Month
- Approved a successor Collective Bargaining Agreement with Metropolitan Alliance of Police, Chapter #375 representing Police Officers and Dispatchers following good faith bargaining.
- Approved a grant agreement with Community Partners for Affordable Housing for participation in a Community Land Trust program consistent with the Affordable Housing Plan.
- Approved an amendment to the Power Supply Agreement continuing the Village’s participation in the municipal aggregation program through MC Squared Energy Services.
- Approved an agreement with Housing Opportunity Development Corporation for the professional management of Crestwood Place.
- Approved a new Zoning Code for the Village that includes the following revisions from the version reviewed by the Plan Commission and presented to the Board: (1) includes Plan Commission signage revisions, (2) includes Village Attorney revisions for the effective date, (3) removes cottage courts from the R4 and R5 Districts as permitted or special permit uses, and (4) removes duplexes from the R5 District as permitted or special permit use.
- Approved rezoning of 2890 and 2990 Dundee Road from O-5 Restricted Office Space to O-2 Limited Office District consistent with the newly adopted Zoning Code.
- Held a Preliminary Review to amend Ordinance No. 2014-3 to allow for the installation and operation of a gas station on the south side of the property at 784 Skokie Boulevard. The Preliminary Review by the Village Board is a conceptual review for the Village Board to provide non-binding comments on a proposal prior to the applicant submitting to the Village a detailed application.
- Approved and accepted 2025-2026 Priority Action Items for the Village of Northbrook’s Climate Action Plan.

Regular Village Board meetings take place on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. Agenda materials are posted the prior Friday by close of business on the Village Meeting Archive Portal.
