July 8, 2025 7:30 p.m. Meeting
Highlights of action taken include:
- Approved the transfer of prior Agreements between the Village and Five Seasons Country Club to Lifetime Fitness who will be remodeling the facilities at 1300 Techny Road and operating for use by members.
- Granted final approvals for a Planned Development at 3700 Dundee, The Reserve at the Brook, a 53-unit townhome on an 11.76-acre site which has been vacant since 2021 when Our Lady of Brook house of worship closed.
- Approved a successor Collective Bargaining Agreement with Metropolitan Alliance of Police, Chapter #376 representing Police Sergeants following good faith bargaining.
- Conducted a Public Hearing on a request to amend an existing zoning Special Permit for North Shore Transit facility at 2045 Shermer Road and approved amendments following the Hearing.
- Held a Preliminary Review for a Special Permit at 1250 Techny Road for a Child Daycare facility. The Preliminary Review by the Village Board is a conceptual review for the Village Board to provide non-binding comments on a proposal prior to the applicant submitting to the Village a detailed application. The matter was referred to the Plan Commission for public review should the owner decide to proceed and submit a full application.
- Held a Preliminary Review for zoning and annexation of 608 – 610 Sanders Road to allow for development of three single family homes. The Preliminary Review by the Village Board is a conceptual review for the Village Board to provide non-binding comments on a proposal prior to the applicant submitting to the Village a detailed application. The matter was referred to the Plan Commission for public review should the owner decide to proceed and submit a full application.
