Project Description

The South Lane Water Main Improvements project will include both water main replacement and asphalt resurfacing. The first part of the project will include water main improvements including the replacement of the original 1940's main on South Lane, while also looping the system to Driftwood Lane to further improve the system. Following completion of that work, asphalt roadway resurfacing will be completed on South Lane.

A full description of the project can be found as part of Resolution 2022-27, which awarded the project to the Village's contractor.

Construction Notification Letters:

On Friday, April 22 2022, the Village mailed the construction notice for water main work. Please see a copy of this notice at this link.

July 7, 2022

The project is complete. 

June 30, 2022

This week, the contractor intends to finish restoration work for the job site. 

June 24, 2022

This week, the contractor finished paving the road. Next week, the contractor intends to begin restoration work for the job site. 

June 16, 2022

This week, the contractor did not work on paving operations due to aggregate supply issues. Next week, the contractor is scheduled to mill and pave South Lane.

June 10, 2022

This week, the contractor finished the South Lane water main. Next week, the contractor’s schedule includes milling and paving of South Lane.

June 2, 2022

This week and next week, the contractor will continue water service connections. On Tuesday, June 7^th, the contractor intends to perform a water main shutoff on South Lane to connect the new water main to the existing water main system on Voltz Road.

May 26, 2022

This week, the contractor intends to finish mainline work on South Lane, along with the connection on Driftwood Lane. On Tuesday, May 31^st 2022, the contractor intends to begin service connections.

May 19, 2022

This week, the contractor intends to continue work on the water main connection between South Lane and Driftwood Lane. Next week, the contractor will continue water main work Driftwood Lane. On Monday May 23^rd 2022, the contractor intends to perform a water main shutoff on Driftwood Lane to connect the new water main to the existing water main system.

May 12, 2022

This week, the contractor intends to finish water main installation on South Lane. Next week, the contractor intends to begin work on the water main connection between South Lane and Driftwood Lane. The contractor also intends to install fire hydrants on South Lane next week.

May 5, 2022

This week, the contractor intends to finish setting up temporary mail and parking areas, after which they intend to begin the installation of water main at the end of South Lane. Next week, the contractor will install water main starting on the southern end of South Lane.

April 28, 2022

Work on this project shall commence Monday, May 2^nd 2022. The contractor intends to start by setting up temporary mail boxes and parking areas.  By the end of the week, the contractor will begin work on the water main connection to Driftwood Lane.

April 14, 2022

Work on this project is anticipated to begin in May 2022. Future updates will be posted here as they become available.
