NEW Northbrook Zoning Code - effective 9/22/25

NORTHBROOK ZONING CODE

On September 9, 2025 the Village Board of Trustees unanimously approved Ordinance No. 2025-55 adopting a new Zoning Code for the Village of Northbrook. The new Zoning Code became effective on September 22, 2025 following a two year public process to write, review, and refine a new Zoning Code which encompasses modern planning and uses, streamlined relief processes and sustainable development initiatives, all while maintaining the Village's identity. The project webpage is available to review the process that was undertaken to adopt a new Zoning Code. 

An Application Manual has also been created to accompany the new Zoning Code. Anyone seeking zoning relief can find the necessary application forms in the Northbrook Zoning Code Application Manual.
