Project Description

The Village of Northbrook proactively reviews the condition of its streets on a regular basis to identify problems and appropriate measures to correct them. This project involves approximately 6,400 square yards of Class B concrete street patches on Picardy Lane, Michelline Lane, Bordeaux Drive, Touraine Terrace, Brittany Court, Bordeaux Court, Landwehr Road, Huehl Road, Dundee Road, Lindberg Lane, Arnold Lane, Doolittle Drive, Academy Drive, and Shannon Road in the Village of Northbrook, Illinois.

Enabling Resolution:

On October 14th, the Village Board passed a resolution to award the concrete street patching contract to D’Land Construction LLC. The video recording and agenda packet for the October 14, 2025, Village Board of Trustees meeting can be found here

Construction Notification Letters:

A flyer was mailed in October to residents and businesses in the Sky Harbor Industrial Park who live adjacent to project impacts. The flyer can be viewed at this link.

Project Updates:

Friday November 21, 2025

During the week of November 17, the contractor completed all remaining concrete pours within the Sky Harbor Industrial Park. The final patches on Landwehr Road were poured, marking the completion of all concrete pours for the season in the Sky Harbor Industrial Park. Crews also finished concrete work on Shannon Road and continued cleanup efforts throughout the project area, including removing safety barricades and preparing lanes for reopening.

Looking ahead to next week, the contractor is scheduled to reopen all lanes to traffic and complete final cleanup throughout the project limits.

Friday, November 14, 2025

During the week of November 10, the contractor completed concrete pours on Lindberg Lane and Doolittle Drive. New concrete panels were also poured along Landwehr Road. In addition, crews continued saw cutting and preparing patching locations along the southbound lanes of Academy Drive and Landwehr Road. The contractor also prepared the final section of Shannon Road for upcoming concrete work.

Looking ahead to next week, the contractor is scheduled to continue removing and preparing the remaining concrete panels along Landwehr Road, with new pours to follow.

Friday, November 7, 2025

During the week of November 3, the contractor completed concrete pours for all panels previously removed along Academy Drive. In addition, new concrete was poured for a section on Shannon rd. behind Westmoor School, as well as several patching locations along the northbound lanes of Arnold Lane and Doolittle Drive.

While these areas were being poured, the contractor’s second crew began saw cutting and preparing concrete panels along Landwehr Road for removal.

Looking ahead to next week, the contractor is scheduled to continue removing and preparing additional panels for new concrete pours throughout the week.

Friday, October 31, 2025

During the week of October 27, the contractor began saw cutting and removing concrete panels, as well as curb and gutter sections, along the northbound lane of Academy Drive. This work marks the first phase of the concrete patching improvements in the area.

The contractor will now begin preparing the removed sections for new concrete pours, which will take place once the subgrade has been properly formed and inspected.
